Producing distinctive estate wines that showcase the quality of our Finger Lakes vineyard
A fruit foward nose of plum, blueberry, and blackberry is accentuated by soft smoe and birch beer aromas. Baking spices, cocoa nibs, and black pepper round out the palate.
The Non-Vintage Luckystone Red is a blend of red wines from various producers in New York State. The varietal and producer breakdown is as follows: 38% Lemberger (Zugibe Vineyards, Finger Lakes), 19% Merlot (16% Martha Clara Vineyards, Long Island, 3% Sheldrake Point Winery), 18% Syrah (Martha Clara), 14% Cabernet Sauvignon (9% Martha Clara, 5% Sheldrake Point), 6% Cabernet Franc (Martha Clara), 3% Gamay Noir (Sheldrake Point) and 2% Petit Verdot (Martha Clara). It is 90% from the 2015 vintage and 10% 2016.
The Luckystone was blended in May of 2017. Cold stabilization was not required. It was filtered during two days of bottling on 05/25/17, with bottling chemistry of 12.3% alc., 6.5 g/l TA, 42 ppm SO2, and a pH of 3.60. 480.8 cases were produced.
